Arizona State University is proud to present our 5th camp in 2011, which will be in mid July. Camp will take place at the ACA accredited YMCA's Camp Chauncey Ranch in Mayer, AZ. This 5000-acre ranch on the Agua Fria river has close to 100 horses, 50 head of cattle, a few goats and enough bunks for 150 “ranch hands.” The Ranch has cottonwood trees, willows, green pastures, sports field, and a NEW two-acre lake. Chauncey Ranch comes fully equipped with an 800-ft. zipline, climbing tower, swimming, archery, ropes course, team challenges, canoeing, and campfires. These events are all hosted by the YMCA's staff who are trained and certified in hosting these activities. Along with the events made available through the YMCA, activities in sports, art, drama, and nature will be integrated into the daily schedule.

Since camper safety and security is our number one priority, Camp Kesem ASU will be staffed with a nurse and social worker. Counselors are thoroughly trained before camp following National guidelines. Leadership is divided between our camp director and the administration team. Camp Kesem's National Programming Director will also be in attendance for a portion of camp. Consistent with National guidelines, ASU follows a 2-to-1 camper to counselor ratio.

For our fourth year, we are looking to expand the population that we serve. This year we are accepting 75 campers. If you would like to send your child to our camp, please click on APPLICATION and download the application.
