Want to be involved with Camp Kesem ASU?

You can help Camp Kesem continue to bring magic to families in your local community by joining Arizona State's student leaders. ASU students are welcome and encouraged to help our cause! The best way that you can help is by becoming a Camp Kesem facilitator. Facilitators help with fundraising, planning and organizing for camp, and community outreach. The facilitator positions are structured as follows:

  • Community Outreach Facilitator:
    • Talk to hospitals, oncologists, and other medical facilities about CK
    • Attend support groups with Camper Care Coordinators
    • Send information to community members about our cause
  • Camp Programming Facilitator:
    • Find ‘special guests’ to attend camp
    • Create programs for camp
      • Age-specific and all-camp
  • Resource Facilitator:
    • Establish relationships with local and corporate businesses
    • Coordinate Mall Walk events
    • Obtain in-kind items for:
      • Camp 2011 (Found on our Wish List)
      • Silent Auction Items
  • Special Events Facilitator:
    • Work with Coordinators to plan large scale fundraising events throughout the year
    • Create and send “Save-the-Dates” and invitations
    • Outreach to ASU and local community for event attendance
    • Assist in planning the details of each event; venues, décor, presentations, etc.
  • Local fundraising Facilitator:
    • Contact local businesses to set up fundraisers for CK members to attend
    • Design and print fliers for events
    • Advertise on social media sites
