Giving kids the opportunity to be kids
The ever-expanding Kesem community engages in camp activities like sports, arts and crafts, and drama to give campers a fun-filled week. Campers also participate in “Cabin Chats” with fellow campers and counselors, giving children the chance to share their experiences with each other.

Counselors and Staff

Our counselors and staff members are volunteer students from The College of Saint Rose. The following students put forth time, leadership, and support to ensure that our program is a success. These volunteer students stand out amongst the community and The College of Saint Rose for their role in an honorable cause.

Reaching Out to Future Leaders:
To build a supportive community for families coping with cancer by creating the week of Camp Kesem and camp reunions.

To empower students to participate in community service by providing leadership positions, organizational roles, and opportunities to work directly or indirectly with children who has/had a parent with cancer.

To inform students about perspectives on social action, illness, death, grief, and healing by sponsoring educational programs that present Jewish and other spiritual teachings.

To invite students of all backgrounds to share their love for service through learning, dialogue, and action.
