Applications for Summer 2010 (June 13-18) are coming soon so stay tuned to this page for more information!  Applications are accepted on a first-come, first serve basis, with consideration to a balance of age and gender.

    Eligibility

    Camp Kesem is available to children aged 6-13 who have a parent with cancer in the Chicagoland area (Chicago, Milwaukee and northwest Indiana region).  In addition, we are offering a Teen Camp for the second year that is open to 14-16 year olds.  Camp Kesem Northwestern is a secular camp and is open to all children regardless or race, religion, color, national origin or financial status. Camp Kesem is completely free of charge

    Our Campsite

    Camp Kesem Northwestern will be held at YMCA Camp MacLean in Burlington, WI. Bus transportation will be provided from Northwestern University to and from camp. YMCA has a wide range of activities available such as archery, surrounding nature trails, and a lake. Camp dates this year will be June 13th – 18th, 2010 with a maximum enrollment of 60 campers.

     In addition, we are excited to announce that once again we will offer Teen Camp for teens ages 14-16.  Teen Camp is accepting 20 campers.

     

     

     

    Camp Activities

    Typical activities campers will be engaged in will include:

    •    swimming
    •    sports
    •    theater
    •    crafts
    •    rowing
    •    adventure outings
    •    arts and crafts
    •    ropes course

    and much much more!
