Join Camp Kesem as a Camp Counselor or Executive Board coordinator!
Part of Camp Kesem’s mission is to allow college students to channel their passion for making a difference, while developing critical leadership skills for long term social impact. Every aspect of Camp Kesem GW -- such as planning camp activities, finding eligible families, fundraising for camp, and being a counselor at camp -- is coordinated by student volunteers at The George Washington University. You can be a part of CKGW and bring magic to a child's life by applying to be an EBoard member or Camp Counselor.

Our EBoard includes five committees, each headed by two co-coordinators, as well as the two Executive Co-Chairs. This elite team of twelve students works throughout the school year to make Camp Kesem a reality. These committees are Camp Programming, Camper Care, Student Support, Fundraising, and Public Relations. CKGW will be accepting EBoard applications for all of these coordinator positions starting on August 30, 2010 and ending on September 10, 2010. After a brief reviewing process, some applicants will be invited to an in-person interview with the CKGW Executive Co-Chairs. Successful applicants will be notified of their selection for the 2010-2011 EBoard on September 19th and should be prepared to meet on Monday, September 20th at 9pm for our first EBoard meeting of the 2010-2011 school year.

Camp Kesem GW counselors are the foundation and backbone for the success of the week-long summer camp. CKGW maintains a 2:1 camper to counselor ratio at all times to make sure campers get the attention they deserve. Camp Counselors supervise the campers, participate in camp activities, and have the opportunity to become Activity Leaders and Unit Leaders.
Camp Kesem GW is not currently accept counselor applications for Camp Kesem GW 2011. Please check back in September 2010 for an update on the counselor application deadline. Until then, email us at chair@ckgw.org if you are interested in being a counselor.
