Julia “CheeWee” St. Pierre is a sophomore from Mandeville, Louisiana, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in both Sociology and Biology. She is so excited to help lead LSU through the magic of Kesem with her partner in Directing, Java! Although not entirely talentless, if she could have any talent, it would be to yodel, and she is most excited for this summer’s s’mores and other yummy camp snacks!
Joe “Java” DeCorte is a senior from New Orleans, Louisiana. Jave is a long-time juggler who can’t wait to teach different tricks to his Kesem campers. He heard about Kesem from a friend and is overjoyed to be able to give Louisiana a warm Kesem welcome. Java also has a passion for New Orleans’s distinctive food, music, and its coffee.
Isabella “Space Cadet” Biondini is a sophomore from Covington, Louisiana, majoring in Journalism and minoring in International Studies. She is both a music festival and peanut butter addict. She is super excited to meet new people and make some good memories.
Emily “Minnie” Millet is a sophomore from Gonzales, Louisiana, majoring in Mass Communication and minoring in both Business Administration and Visual Communication. She loves all things Disney, drinking coffee, and playing with her dog JoJo. Minnie is looking forward to meeting all of the campers and making memories!
Haley “Gansa” Mundle is a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, majoring in Biology with a minor in Business. She is most excited to meet all of the future campers!
Peyton “Tiger Stripes” Simons is a junior from Shreveport, Louisiana, majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Spanish. He hopes to go to medical school one day, but in his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, watching Netflix, and hanging with friends. He is super pumped to meet all the campers and hopes to leave in an impact on many people’s lives.
Leila “Lotus” Olson is a senior originally from England, but has lived in Baton Rouge for the past 11 years, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Social Work. She loves to travel, explore new places, and drink coffee. She is super excited to experience the magic of Kesem and meet lots of incredible people!
Alexandra “Moose” Shiell is a junior who was born in Canada but moved to New Orleans 11 years ago. She is majoring in Biology and French. She enjoys baking, painting, and watching musicals. She very eager to set up camp so that the campers to have a great experience and make lasting memories.
Lauryn “Fugee” Honore is a sophomore from Baton Rouge, LA with her major being Psychology, Pre-Med and minors in French and Biology. She is a lover of Twizzlers, chai lattes, and everything 90s! Fugee is insanely eager to meet all the campers who she knows she will make long lasting memories and relationships with!
Sarah “Sriracha” Pham is a junior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, majoring in Biology with a minor in Human Nutrition. Sarah likes to play with her 3 dogs and attempt to train her 2 goldfish in her free time. She is super excited to make memories with all the new friends she’ll make at camp!
Mason “Mercury” Guillot is a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, majoring in Mathematics (Actuarial Science). He loves to watch football, listen to classic rock, and host live trivia. He looks forward to meet future campers and to spread excitement for Camp Kesem!
Amanda “Riceball” Le is a senior in Biology from Lafayette, LA. She likes to keep her food instagram updated with the best meals Louisiana has to offer. Riceball can’t wait to play games and meet new friends at camp!
Eva “Gingee” Mace is a junior from New Orleans, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. In her free time she likes to watch dog videos and eat good brunch. She is excited for all the games at camp because she has lots of competitive bones in her body!

Kesem’s national staff of over 30 professionals is involved in all aspects of establishing and supporting each of our 100+ chapters nationwide as well as the training and oversight of all college student leaders. Our leadership program has been developed over the last 17 years and, while both rigorous and demanding, is focused on providing the highest level of support, service and safety for the children who participate in our programs.
The Kesem Program Director for this chapter (see below) is involved in all aspects of camp and our additional services. While your local student leaders are your primary contact for questions, you are also welcome and encouraged to contact their Program Director with other specific questions.
Shane joined the Camp Kesem National team as a Regional Program Director in 2019. Shane first became involved with Camp Kesem as an inaugural member of the University of Kansas's chapter in 2016. During his time at the University of Kansas, Shane served as a counselor, Outreach Coordinator, Co-Director, and Advisory Board Member. Shane graduated from the University of Kansas in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Global and International Studies. Upon graduating from the University of Kansas, he has worked for the International Relations Council as the Membership Consultant and Assistant. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Shane now resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
