Meet the Team

Anthony 'Bungie' Sampson: Answering the cabin chat question "if you could be the combination of two animals, what would you be?" with the Green and Blue (6-11 year old) boys.

Shannon 'Athena' Fey: My favorite Camp Kesem memory is talking to the blue unit girls in cabin chat. They are fun, kind and inspiring and I cannot wait to see them throughout the year and at camp!

Luke 'Spork' Stream: I am looking forward to Make the Magic, because I love getting to see campers, their families, and alumni!

Devon 'Phin' Cable: After cabin chat, the green unit girls decorated our cabin with all the fun decorations a girl scout troop had made for them over the year. We played music, danced, and made the cabin the most amazing space themed space!

Katella 'Nutella' Silva: My favorite Kesem memory was getting to see the kids for the first time at Family and Friends Day last year.

Isa 'Kenai' Sanchez Flores: This year I am looking forward to participating in Kesem on a grader scale and being on the team that makes Kesem so special!

Claire 'The Blender' Toney: I can't wait to get to know new families and to catch up with all of the returners!!

Eva 'Chipsandguac' Borden: My favorite Kesem memory is IT'S A SIXTIES PARTY and truly, everything else Kesem.

Gianna 'Water Otter' Gathman: Looking forward to a wonderful year filled with fundraising and fun!

William 'Kiwi' Nelson: My favorite kesem memory occurred during my first empowerment. Before camp I was nervous about being accepted into the community. The empowerment ceremony showed me that I belong there at camp and this was something I want to be a part of.

Ava 'Pistachio' Fulweber: It has to be singing "Lean on Me" after empowerment. The love that radiates the room is unconditional and truly magical.

Elizabeth 'Sushirrito' Najera Gomez: Being a clinic counselor (teaching ukulele) is my favorite thing at camp! I love watching the campers work towards learning songs and I am always so amazed at how willing they are to practice hard and perform at the last campfire!

Will 'Kuzco' Gagan: My favorite Kesem memory is TLP campfire because I laughed so hard I cried and I loved seeing all their hard work pay off when my blue unit campers had such a great time.

Jacob 'O'Malley' Penn: My Favorite Kesem Memory was anytime that I was playing sports with the campers, especially soccer.

Samantha 'Rhubarb' Steinbrecher: My favorite Kesem memory was when the entire Red Unit colored on me with (non-washable) markers before Messy Wars. It didn't come off until a week after camp!

Rodney 'Zip' Estupiñan: My favorite Kesem memory has to be climbing the vertical wall. The group we had was reluctant to attempt it at first, but as more people made it over the wall the energy levels rose. Campers cheering each other on as a team was the most heartwarming.

William 'Lock' Pascale: My favorite camp memory is during a surprise dance party some of the campers were off to the side and not really participating, they had an emotional night to that point because that was empowerment and I was able to talk with them and thank them.

Hayden 'Ducky' Gibb: My favorite Kesem memory was when a camper this summer asked me sing with her at our closing camp fire with the Ukulele Clinic. Getting to sing with an awesome camper, and look out at the whole camp singing with us was such a cool moment of community
