Camron “Bubba” Clifton: My name is Camron Clifton, or Bubba for short, and I am a fourth year Food Science major and this year’s Co-Director! This is my fourth and final year of camp, and I am so excited to spend it fully committed to Camp Kesem! Can not wait to work with all the wonderful coordinator teams this year in making this year’s iteration of camp the best one yet!
Lulu “Stitch” Conner: Hi!! I’m Stitch and I am so stoked to be Co-Director with the amazing Bubba this year! I am a senior double majoring in Kesem and International Agricultural Development. This is my third year with the Kesem family and I am already counting down the days until camp! When I am not Keseming, you can find me traveling the world, eating tacos, napping on the beach, and seeking out every adventure I can. I can’t wait for an incredible year, and please feel free to reach out at any time!!
Austin “Zuma” Jelinski: Hey everyone! I’m Zuma, and I am so excited to be an AMP coordinator for this school year. I’m a fourth year environmental science major, and this will be my third year as a counselor for Camp Kesem. When I’m not hanging out with fellow counselors, you can find me hiking, playing frisbee, hitting up Yoloberry, or going to the closest beach I can find (Zuma beach anyone?). Can’t wait to keep everyone up to date on CK happenings, so we can have the best year yet!
Tessa “Teacup” Filipczyk: HI! My name is Teacup and I’m a third year Marine & Coastal Science major. This will be my second year in Kesem and I’m so excited to be one of this years AMP Coordinators alongside Zuma! When I’m not hanging out with other counselors, you can find me napping, drinking tea, playing sports or studying! From cabin chats to getting covered in paint, camp was the highlight of my year and I can’t wait to keep you all up to date with the latest news and pictures from our magical adventures to come!!
Kevin “Mocha” Trujillo: Hey Hey Hey Everyone, my name is Mocha! I am a four-year transfer student at the UC Davis studying Mathematics and Computer Science. I was born and raised in Oakdale, CA, or the “Cowboy Capital of the World”. I am an outdoors enthusiast in my spare time and an advocate for mental health! Beyond this, I am proud to share that I am a second year-counselor and Development Coordinator for Camp Kesem at UC Davis! Find me eating outrageous amounts of carbs or playing with my pup Posey! CK LOVE!
Kelly “KitKat” SheffieldHi! I’m Kit Kat and I’m a third year majoring in Spanish and sociology. I am so excited to be development chair with Mocha this year and I’m already counting down the days till Camp! I love road trips, food, friends and movies. Kesem is by far my favorite part of college and I am honored to call all of the counselors my family.
Ella “Buzz” Queen is a 4th year studying Cognitive Science and Computer Science. She loves yoga and being outdoors, but mostly she loves camp! This year, Buzz is Make the Magic Coordinator, so she will be working with Snaps and Avocado, the two Make the Magic Chairs, to put on the most magical fundraiser yet. Buzz will be working diligently to make sure MTM 2019 is a success. You can catch Buzz on the quad in the hammocks or at her favorite coffee shop downtown studying and planning MTM 2019!
Kaylena “Avocado” Principe: Heyo!! It’s Avocado! I’m crazy excited to enter my second year of kesem and my first as a Make the Magic Coordinator! I kesem for the kids and the life-changing moments that only kesem magic can bring. With one of those being the night of Make the Magic, I am devoted to making this year’s the best one yet! Cheers!
Lauren “Snaps” Ford: Hi!! My name is Snaps and I am super excited to plan the most magical night of the year, Make the Magic! I am a second year NPB major looking to pursue a career in pediatrics because I love working with little kiddos. When not at a Kesem meeting, I can often be found eating cereal or playing with my pet beta fish, Derek. I am overly excited for all of the Kesem events this year, especially CAMP because I get to spend it with my goofy and loving Kesem family.
Bhavna “Sweet Pea” Kodira: Hi everyone! My name is Sweet Pea and I am a 3rd year Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior major. I am beyond excited to start my third year in Kesem and second year as an Operations Coordinator, alongside Lilypad and Trix! One of my favorite parts about going to camp is the small moments I get to spend with the campers, whether it’s playing cards, an intense game of Ninja, or a silly cabin dance party! Outside of Kesem, I like to run, hike, go to the local Farmer’s Market, and travel! CK LOVE
Jessica “Lilypad” Abad: Hi everyone! My name is Lilypad and I’m a 4th year majoring in Camp Songs and Messy Olympics!! Some of my favorite things to do at camp include telling jokes with the Limers and eating hot dogs with Clumsy. I can’t believe this is my last year in Kesem, and I’m so excited to be on the Operations team with Trix and Sweetpea to make this year of camp the best one ever!!
Lillian “Trix” Cheung: Hii my name is Trix (short for Bellatrix!) and I’m a second year who’s undeclared! I’m so excited to plan camp with Sweet Pea and Lily Pad on the Operations team and make this year the best yet! When I’m not doing something Kesem related, you can find me watching youtube videos on how to film and create! I also love traveling, learning about random history facts, and rewatching the Harry Potter series! This past summer, I was lucky enough to attend both Davis and Berkeley Camp Kesem! I love CK!
Sofia “Doodle” Donovan: Hi CK family! My name is Doodle and I’m so excited to be one of the Outreach Coordinators this year alongside Tweety and Shakes! This will be my fourth year at UC Davis as a Biological Sciences major and Human Rights minor, as well as my fourth (and final) year in Kesem! You can find me studying for school, frequenting my favorite Davis restaurants, exploring new places, walking backwards as a campus tour guide, getting boba between classes, and hanging out with friends. Can’t wait for CK 2019!
Tomer “Shakes” Fidelman: Hey there! My name is Shakes (as in Shakespeare, Milkshakes, and body movement in general) and I am STOKED to be an outreach coordinator this year! This is both my second year at Davis and in Kesem! My LinkedIn will tell you I spend all my time studying Economics and Psychology but in reality I love to play music, go backpacking, act, and play soccer! A fun fact about me is that I was scared to go down escalators until I was 13. I can’t wait for camp and all the fun events we have planned!
Ashley “Tweety” Worth: Hi! My name is Tweety and I am a sophomore communications major. I am SO excited to be on the Outreach team this year! Kesem means the world to me andI am so thankful to be part of an organization with such loving, goofy, and inspiring people. Kesem has really become a home away from home for me. When I’m not Keseming you can find me petting local Davis dogs (any dog), jump roping with Nacho, or even feeding ducks at the arboretum. I am already counting down the days till camp 2019!!
Maya “Bamba” Barak: Hi all! My name is Bamba, and I’m a third year International Relations major with minors in Human Rights and Professional Writing. This is my third year at camp, and I’m so excited to be CIT Coordinator! You can find me eating chocolate and Bamba, adventuring, smiling at strangers and counting down the days until camp! To me and to everyone else that’s a part of the goofiest, most supportive family in the world, Camp Kesem literally, figuratively, and all the other adverbs-ly, means MAGIC.
Armando “Spidey” Gonzalez: Hey guys! It’s your friendly-neighborhood-camp counselor Spidey! When I’m not beating up bad guys or helping the elderly cross streets, you can find me swinging to class, playing sports, sipping on apple juice from the farmer’s market, or getting Fortnite wins with my main man Buckets. This is my third year at UC Davis and as a counselor. I’m so excited to get to work with the coolest kids at camp: the teen leaders! I can’t wait to sing my favorite camp song, “Heyyy Burrito!”
Cole “Rollie” Williams: Hi I’m Rollie and I’m a fourth year Genetics & Genomics major! I’m super excited to be treasurer for my fourth and final year in Kesem. My favorite parts about camp are the cabin chats and empowerment. I also love go-kart racing, which I’ve technically never lost and don’t plan to next year! When I’m not at camp you can find me studying genetics, playing soccer, watching The Office, or sleeping.
Gavin “Stix” Kumar: Hi I’m Stix! I’m a fourth year Political Science Major with a minor in human rights. I’ve been a part of Kesem for three years and I’ve loved every second of it. I can’t wait for this year and to help put on another amazing two weeks of camp. As a volunteer recruitment coordinator, it’s mine and Tink’s job to help find and recruit a new group of Kesem counselors for the Davis chapter. We hold open meetings for new students wanting to get involved, as well as interview and choose new counselors!
Dani “Tink” McCabe: Hi I’m Tink! I have had the lovely pleasure of being a part of Camp Kesem since the beginning of my college journey, and could not be more excited to be the Volunteer Recruitment coordinator this year. I am majoring in economics and minoring in technology management, and just spent this summer interning as a sales intern for a tech start up in NYC! I love trying new and exotic foods, traveling, doing yoga, hanging out at the beach, and traveling! I can’t wait for Camp 2019!!!

Kesem’s national staff of over 30 professionals is involved in all aspects of establishing and supporting each of our 100+ chapters nationwide as well as the training and oversight of all college student leaders. Our leadership program has been developed over the last 17 years and, while both rigorous and demanding, is focused on providing the highest level of support, service and safety for the children who participate in our programs.
The Kesem Program Director for this chapter (see below) is involved in all aspects of camp and our additional services. While your local student leaders are your primary contact for questions, you are also welcome and encouraged to contact their Program Director with other specific questions.
Keandra joined the Camp Kesem National team as a Regional Program Director in 2017. Prior to this, Keandra was a member of the founding team at California State University, Fresno where she started as a Volunteer Coordinator, and then went on to serve as a Chapter Co-Director for two years. During this time, Keandra also served as a Risk Management Intern and as a member of the National Student Panel. Keandra graduated from Fresno State in 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts in Family and Consumer Science. She is from Bakersfield, California and currently resides in Davis, California.
