Meet the Team

Taylor '' Lee: Walking on the top of a mountain ridge during the Little Hill hike, I looked out to all the campers and counselors walking hand in hand as the sun set, and the community, love, and care in the air was as tangible as the brilliant sunset behind us.

Simon 'BamBam' Hirschfield: I am looking forward to looking at Kesem through a new lens. Overseeing this exceptional committee is a big task, but I cannot wait to see what we accomplish and what we can make of this year :)

Patrick 'Granola' Wilson: During the night hike this past summer I had the chance to tell a story about how the stars came to be while the kids were making god's eyes. After a camper showed me his and pointed out how the yellow yarn poked through just like how the stars do.

Grace 'Panini' Tankersley: Right before bed on Empowerment day, we were all sitting on the floor, telling stories, making bracelets, and sharing our fears. It was beautiful to see our unit grow closer and lift each other up when they were down.

Bryce 'Blueberry' Maurer: My favorite Kesem memory took place coming back from my first week at camp with a camper named Mochi. It was her first year at camp just like mine and on the ride back she turned and looked at me and said "Blueberry, I don't want to leave Camp Kesem"

John 'Double Stuf' Lama: Hey everyone! My name's Double Stuf and I'm a second year Bioengineering Major. I'm so excited to be on committee for the 1st time and be more involved with the Kesem community. Camp is the best part of the year and I cant wait to see you all MKL!

Kiron 'TBell' Dey: My favorite Kesem memory was watching a camper in my unit blossom from a super shy new camper to a singing and dancing professional on stage. Watching him open up and create lasting friendships was truly rewarding.

Margot 'Moo' Leach: My favorite Kesem memory would have to be hanging out with some of my campers and co-counselors on a hill-side during sunset. Some of my campers started singing, and we were all just laughing and talking while watching the sun go down. It was magic.

Evelyn 'Tilden' Malamut: Singing "We Come From the Mountains" with my campers around the campfire

Emma 'Boop' Schumaker: Ah, there are too many memories to choose from! My favorite Kesem memory has to be making friendship bracelets with campers during chill time and laughing out of delirium. <3

Anastasia 'Sunflower' Martin: I am looking forward to making an even greater connections with the campers and their families. I am super excited to have a committee position, and cannot wait to be even more involved in Kesem this upcoming school year!

Daniel 'Chicken Joe' Dedina: My favorite memory in Kesem is taking my Teal Unit boys to watch the stars. It was the end of the week and we had all gotten pretty tight, and I just listened to kids who had known week talk with each other as if they had been friends for years.

Rebecca 'Cookie' Kianmahd: Hi I'm Cookie & I'm SO excited for this year! After 9 years of camp (I was a camper!), I have too many favorite memories, but watching my campers gain the confidence during the week to dance their hearts out at rock ’n roll b-fast is always magical!

Sofie 'Linguini' Sheldon: My favorite Kesem memory was writing a song with my yellow unit camper, Monkey, and performing it at the end of the week Talent Show!
