Grace “Grass” Tucker: Meet Grass, one our directors! Grass is a senior social work major from Edmund, OK and this is her 4th year in Kesem. Can you guess what Grass’ favorite thing to do? Its Kesem of course! Her favorite camp activities are gaga ball and learning some new dance moves from the campers. She Kesems “for the kids, as they’re the most inspiring people I’ve ever met and they’re nothing short of my heroes”. A fun fact about Grass is that she has a Camp Kesem lip tattoo!
Tyler “Booboo” Asher: Meet Booboo, one of our directors! BooBoo is senior sports management major from Newport, AR and this is his 3rd year in Kesem. His favorite things to do are fish and play golf! His favorite memory from camp this year was leading the empowerment ceremony for the older kids. He Kesems because “the impact you have on a child’s life can be lifelong and life changing”. A fun fact about BooBoo is that he is one of the best Madden players in the world!
Daniele “Sandy” Gibbons: Meet Sandy, one of our AMP/PR coordinators! Sandy is a senior psychology major from McKinney, TX and this is her 3rd year in Kesem. She likes to go to the beach, watch the Yankees, and play with her dog Emma! Her favorite memory from camp was co leading empowerment ceremony for the younger kids. She Kesems “to show the kids that tomorrow is another day and that the Kesem love and their Kesem family will always be there for them.” A fun fact about Sandy is that she goes sailing in Turks & Caicos!
Max “Click” Roeder: Meet Click, one of our AMP/PR coordinators! Click is a freshman advertising/pr major from Springdale, AR and this is his 2nd year in Kesem. Clicks favorite things to do are photography and videography! His favorite memory from camp was taking the camp video and playing volleyball. Click Kesems “because I see the impact it has on the kids and how happy kesem makes them and I want to keep providing them kesem”. A fun fact about Click is that hes gone to the Indy 500 tower!
Ashlyn “Sky” Anderson: Meet Sky, one of our development coordinators! Sky is a sophomore biology major from Colleyville, TX and this is her 2nd year in Kesem. She likes to hike, play sports, and hang out with her friends! Her favorite part of camp is messy games and all the amazing friendships she has made. She Kesems in memory of her grandfather and to help children who have gone through similar situations. A fun fact about Sky is the reason behind her camp name is because she has gone skydiving!
Kate “Kicks” Mrachek: Meet Kicks, one of our development coordinators! Kicks is a sophomore nursing major from Kansas City, MO and this is her 2nd year in Kesem. Her favorite things to do are hike and play soccer! What she loved most about camp was hearing her girls in her cabin share at empowerment. She Kesems “because I wanted to be a part of this community where the campers feel unconditionally supported and loved.” A fun fact about Kicks is she has golden retriever named Comet like in Full House!
Allison “Bubbles” Speed: Meet Bubbles, one of our Make the Magic coordinators! Bubbles is a senior hospitality major from Little Rock, AR and this is her 3rd year in Kesem. Her favorite things to do are read and paint! Her favorite camp memories were the dance parties and messy games and how crazy everyone looked after! She Kesems for the kids and is so excited to see everyone again next year at camp! A fun fact about Bubbles is that she has never broken a bone!
Brittany “Cupcake” Kuykendall: Meet Cupcake, one of our Make the Magic coordinators! Cupcake is a junior educational studies major from Bentonville, AR and this is her 2nd year in Kesem! Her favorite hobby is to sew! She Kesems to let the kids know how much they are loved no matter what. Cupcakes favorite part about camp was messy games and she can’t wait to see all the campers next year! A fun fact about Cupcake is that her thumbs are double jointed!
Brooke “Taz” Hancock: Meet Taz, one of our Operations coordinators! Taz is a senior special education major from Overland Park, KS and this is her 3rd year in Kesem. She loves to sing and play guitar. Her favorite memory from camp was co leading the empowerment ceremony for the younger kids. She Kesems because she is also a child of parent affected by cancer and sees first hand how Kesem changes her campers lives. A fun fact about her is 1/5 of her left hand is held together by a titanium rod!
Hannah “Tink” Pelton: Meet Tink, one of our operations coordinators! Tink is a senior communications disorders major from Little Rock, AR and this is her 4th year in Kesem. Her favorite things to do are nap and watch Law & Order! She loves EVERYTHING about camp, especially messy games! She says she Kesems because “these kids are the strongest people I know and teach me something new each time I see them”. A fun fact about Tink is that her favorite animal is an otter!
Lauren “Snickers” Frala: Meet Snickers, one of our outreach coordinators! Snickers is a sophomore human development and family sciences major from Kansas City, MO and this is her 2nd year in Kesem. Snickers loves shop and hangout with her friends! Her favorite camp memory was the talent show! She Kesems because “I work year round to make a difference in the campers lives but they end up making the biggest difference in my life in just 5 days.” A fun fact about Snickers is that she is obsessed with JFK and cows!
Morgan “Pepper” Ross: Meet Pepper, one of our outreach coordinators! Pepper is a senior elementary education major from Allen, TX and this is her 3rd year in Kesem. One of her favorite things to do is hang out with her dog, Zeke! Her favorite memory about camp is playing minute to win it games and building relationships with each of the campers. She Kesems “to give the kids the best week of their lives!” A fun fact about Pepper is that she is left handed and her dog looks like a fox!
Maria “Mouse” Taylor: Meet Mouse, one of our outreach coordinators! Mouse is a junior Elementary education major from Fayetteville, AR and this is her 3rd year in Kesem. She likes to run, watch Netflix, do art, camp and swim! Her favorite part of camp is singing all the fun camp songs! She Kesems “for the kids and loves seeing the campers grow each year”. A fun fact about Mouse is that she has run 10 half marathons, wow!
Garrett “Thunder” Pierce: Meet Thunder, one of our special events coordinators! Thunder is a senior kinesiology major from Oklahoma City, OK and this is his 4th year in Kesem. His favorite thing to do is to play basketball! His favorite part about camp is seeing all the campers faces when they arrive on the first day. He Kesems “to help show these kids that no matter what they are going through, they can always find something positive about life”. A fun fact about Thunder is that he has broken every finger on both hands!
Sam “Sunshine” Hall: Meet Sunshine, one of our special events coordinators! Sunshine is a junior economics major from Springdale, AR and this is his 3rd year in Kesem. Sunshine likes to ride his bike, drink coffee, and hang with his pals. His favorite memory from camp was bubble ball! Sunshine Kesems to “give the kids a group of friends who understand them and who they can always rely on”. A fun fact about Sunshine is that he interned in Washington D.C this summer for a senator!
Hunter “Rock” Fugitt: Meet Rock, one of our teen operation coordinators! Rock is a senior biology major from Little Rock, AR and this is his 2nd year in Kesem. Rock likes to snowboard, rock climb, hike, and camp! His favorite camp memory was messy games and empowerment. Rock Kesems because “I have a desire to serve and support others, and camp allows me to fulfill this purpose I have found in my life.” A fun fact about Rock is that he has climb one of the largest rock walls in the world, “the nose” on El Captain!
Emily “M&M” Beard: Meet M&M, one of our teen operations coordinators! M&M is a sophomore biology and psychology major from Newport, AR and this is her 2nd year in Kesem. She likes to hike, watch sports, and spend time with her friends and family! Her favorite memory from camp was messy games! She Kesems because she “wants to create a place for children where they can escape their problems for a week and just be themselves and have fun”. A fun fact about M&M is that she wants to live in New York City one day!
Justin “J” Moore: Meet our Treasurer, J! J is a junior bio-premed major from Kansas City, MO and this is his 2nd year in Kesem. He likes to play basketball, ultimate Frisbee, and learn! His favorite camp memory was adventure scouts cabin nerf gun war and the snacks! J Kesems because he wants “to spread love by example”. A fun fact about J is that he cofounded his first non profit organization last year: Envision NWA!
Lizzy “Jet” Seger: Meet Jet, one of our volunteer coordinators! Jet is a senior anthropology major from Fort Worth, TX and this is her 2nd year in Kesem. Her favorite thing to do is play Volleyball! Her favorite camp activity was gaga ball and loves the family aspect of Kesem. She Kesems because “these kids are inspirations and they deserve to feel special and get to have a week of normalcy.” A fun fact about Jet is that she has 3 pet buffalo!
Ryne “Dino” Fletcher: Meet Dino, one of our volunteer coordinators! Dino is a senior biochemistry major from Springdale, AR and this is his 3rd year in Kesem. He likes ice skate, sing in the car, and practice his Dino dabs! His favorite camp memory was making friendship bracelets and the s’mores. He Kesems for the kids and to create an caring support system for them. A fun fact about Dino is Greys Anatomy is his favorite show!

Kesem’s national staff of over 30 professionals is involved in all aspects of establishing and supporting each of our 100+ chapters nationwide as well as the training and oversight of all college student leaders. Our leadership program has been developed over the last 17 years and, while both rigorous and demanding, is focused on providing the highest level of support, service and safety for the children who participate in our programs.
The Kesem Program Director for this chapter (see below) is involved in all aspects of camp and our additional services. While your local student leaders are your primary contact for questions, you are also welcome and encouraged to contact their Program Director with other specific questions.
Dionna joined the Camp Kesem National team as a Regional Program Director in 2018. She first got involved with Camp Kesem in 2014 as a counselor and continued on to become a member of the coordinator team as a Development Coordinator and two-year Co-Director. She also served as a member of the 2017-2018 National Student Panel and 2018 Spring Events Intern. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with a B.S.A. in Neuroscience and a certificate in Business Foundations. Originally from Howard County, Maryland, Dionna now resides in Denver, Colorado.
