Meet the Team

Sarah 'Mabel' Meyer: This year I am looking forward to furthering chapter DEI efforts, making tons of new friends and memories, continuing to grow as a leader, eating lots of s'mores, and making some lifelong impacts along the way.

Rachel 'Smiley' Engel: I am excited to give back to an organization that changed my life forever & brought me to my favorite people. During my fourth & final year, I can’t wait to meet new members & campers, make some Kesem magic and soak in all the special memories.

Maddie 'Pinky' Grant: My favorite camp memory is singing camp songs and making smores alongside my Kesem pals. I can’t wait to give back to this amazing organization alongside my co-coordinator, Doodle.

Andrea 'Doodle' Atkinson: My favorite Kesem memory was actually going to camp and experience the magic itself. It was so fun to see how all of us in the orange unit bonded so quickly. We loved our nightly cabin chats, we had so many laughs and made so many memories.

Alexis 'Daisy' Johnson: My favorite Kesem memory is Giving Tuesday 2018. In October 2018, one of my friends from high school passed away. My roommate and I went to Power Hour and being in a room full of my Kesem family was one of the few moments I felt joy in fall of 2018.

Blake 'Tuna' Ellis: My favorite Kesem memory is watching the talent show for the first time! Seeing everyone cheer performers on was one of the most inspiring moments I have ever been a part of.

Mia 'Maui' Soulliere: campfire with the kiddos!

Kate 'Dobby' Alston: Cabin chat! I love learning more about our campers:)

Olivia 'Sky' Thompson: My favorite Kesem memory is my first campfire during my first week of camp. There was so much Kesem magic and it was so much to meet all the campers for the first time!

Alyssa 'Ducky' Beyersdorf: One of my campers from my first year as a counselor and I were sitting at a table for lunch. After lunch, he gave me a warm fuzzy that said "I love spending time with you at lunch."

Alyssa 'Firework' Mannschreck: Getting to be my little sister's counselor. I was able to watch her break out of her shell and have fun with other counselors and campers. It was exciting to see the Kesem magic in action and to personally see the impact that we have on these kids.

Tanmayee 'Nova' Chengalasetty: My favorite memory from camp is when the sun is setting and it’s beautiful rays are glowing upon our camp fire and all our campers and running around screaming, hugging and having fun and those are the best moments

Noah 'Cubed' Brittenham: Before camp last year I lost a bet and had to rock just a mustache all week. At check-in one of my campers, Tax Man, drew one on his face in solidarity, looked at me, and said "you ready to rock these all week?"

Madelyn 'Cowbelle' Cejka: It's so hard to pinpoint a favorite memory, Kesem is my favorite! I am looking forward to camp with our teens who I've gotten to work with the past few years!

Luke 'Lion' Andersen: My favorite Kesem memory is from my third year as a Camp Counselor. On the bus ride coming back home from camp, a camper not from my unit and I had lively discussion about the impact that Kesem has had in our lives and what makes it so special to us.

Hannah 'Pebbles' LaPierre: My favorite Kesem memory is when the girls in my cabin let me in on a prank they were going to pull on our unit leader. At night, they switched the mattresses and all of her things so she didn't know what happened when she got back. I felt so cool.

Hannah 'Sunshine' Cahill: My favorite Kesem memory is going to my very first General Body Meeting my freshman year. I walked in and was greeted with such a warm and positive atmosphere that I knew I had to keep coming back! I've never felt more included, happy or loved!

Emily 'Bagel' Taylor: My favorite Kesem memory was when my little sister, who is a camper at our chapter, hugged me after closing circle and told me how much she is going to miss everyone after camp is over. It fills my heart knowing that we both had the Kesem experience.
