Spring Friends + Family Day
2020 Event Details TBA
Isabelle 'Curly' Gefke: I went to my first camp in 2018, and it was the best experience in my college career. I got to meet so many amazing people, and I was inspired by the stories I heard from campers and the support network they developed with each other. I love Kesem
Sanjaly 'Goose' Geevarghese: I am most looking forward to making all our campers proud, creating the best camp possible, and spreading the Kesem magic as much as we can.
Justine 'Tuna' Griego: I can't help but smile when I think about one of my campers. It was her first time at camp and was having some problems shedding her introverted and mature exterior around the other kids. It meant a lot when she opened up to me and had fun.
Nick 'Lambchop' Lambros: I'm really enjoy putting on on-campus events and I look forward to continuing to put on events. Also I hope to be able to go to camp this year.
Grace 'Boots' Church: I'm new to Kesem this year, so I'm looking forward to meeting all the campers throughout the year and hopefully attend camp this summer
Sylvie 'Tuck' Stolar: My favorite memory was performing a duet of "Love is an Open Door" with Birdy Bird at our talent show the last night of camp. After signing Frozen for a week nonstop, we were very prepared for our performance.
Sue Min 'FroYo' Shin: My favorite Kesem memory is when my first Make the Magic as a committee member was successful!
Nina Ranji: I loved seeing the generosity of the East Atlanta community at my first Make the Magic Gala - it inspires me to set ambitious fundraising goals and interact with our community in a meaningful way.
Zachary 'Crumble ' Goldman: My favorite Kesem memory has been leading empowerment for the younger units this summer at camp. After this empowerment, I saw a greater bond amongst all of the campers and staff members. It truly was a magic experience.
Eeshani 'Diamond' Singh: Incredibly grateful to have been at Camp Kesem singing, dancing, and playing games with the strongest children I have ever met. I have spent the past 3 years getting to be a part of something bigger than myself and look forward to many more!
Arianna 'Uke' Peluso: My favorite Kesem memory is when I performed with two of my campers in our camp talent show. I saw my camper's smile after our performance. It was so wide because he had gained confidence from performing in front of our entire camp. I loved his smile
Zaid 'Eggs' Sarmad: I'm looking forward to meeting all the campers and their families as well as planning an awesome week for them!!
Colleen 'Jellyfish' O'Donnell: I am looking forward to recruiting campers, fundraising large amounts of money for camp, and to host Camp Kesem. I am also hoping to be a camp counselor this year.
Aashka 'Flounder' Chauhan: I am looking forward to seeing the opportunities for Kesem to do even more in the community. I am excited to see how we can make camp an even better experience for the kids.
Yoni 'Yogi Bear' Benzacar: My favorite Kesem memory was at camp this summer. A few of my campers were having tough times and confided in me. They later shared that my value system and love for them helped them in trying times.
Justin 'Flipper' Kalish: As a counselor this past summer, I had the most incredible time getting to know campers in my cabin and in my unit! My favorite memory is the cabin chats we had every night because it brought everybody closer together.

After graduating, he worked for Camp Corral, a camping nonprofit that provides military children with a free camping experience. There he was able to learn the ropes of the camping world and develop his passion for camp even more. He graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2015 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Biology. He is from Raleigh, North Carolina and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
